Kira is a writer and educator from Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, currently living in Portland, Oregon. Her work focuses on the intersection of ecology, politics, and survival.

Kira’s essays have been featured in The Atticus Review, The Guardian Online, Cagibi, Plain China Anthology of the Best Undergraduate Writing, and elsewhere. She has received residencies and Fellowships from Signal Fire Arts, Lerman Charitable Trust, and the Regional Arts and Culture Center. She holds Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Science in Geography from Portland State University.
